Wendy Wang, the widow of Jinghong Kang, is in the Bay Area this week to attend a fundraising memorial for her husband on Wednesday that is being organized by Oakland’s Chinatown community. Kang, who had come to the Bay Area from Fairfax, Va., to interview for a job at Google, was fatally shot on July 18 after two suspects robbed him of $17 in downtown Oakland.
